Maggie (2021).

Maggie (2021) is the second piece in a three-part compositional series exploring the musicality of mundane objects. This piece challenges the listener to change their perception; to find the extraordinary in the everyday. This piece investigates how the human voice can be explored as both a mundane and an extraordinary object, through the use of natural and artificial voices. Maggie (2021) features an extract from Maggie Nelson's memoir The Argonauts (2015), which discusses thee notion of 'feeling real', and how this sensation contributes to our overall sense of aliveness.
